Towsure began in 1967 as a small family store in the suburbs of Sheffield, selling towing brackets and trailer parts. Throughout the seventies the demand for towing, trailer parts and accessories grew, and so in 1977 Towsure produced the first mail order catalogue to demonstrate the wide range of low cost parts.

In 1978 Towsure also began manufacture of their own towing brackets and trailer parts. Throughout the following years the mail order catalogue continued to grow, and by the mid eighties due to the demand of its customers, and the awareness of Towsure for the need of low cost camping goods, Towsure widened its horizons and also started to offer camping and caravanning equipment and accessories. This range of goods grew to emcompass Marine Products, Awnings, Tents, Clothing, Cycles, Accessories and much more.

From that day on to this present day Towsure has continued to grow to become the United Kingdom's leading towing and outdoor leisure store. From that small store in Sheffield, Towsure now operates from 151-183 Holme Lane based in Hillsborough Sheffield. As well as a 15,000 square foot superstore, Towsure also boasts an 80 strong call centre, dedicated customer services department, technical support, towbar fitting service and an 80,000 square foot warehouse with a despatch team that in peak times may work 24 hours a day sending out the hundreds of thousands of orders we receive throughout the year.

As well as retail sales we also supply to the trade, especially to other towing companies around the country and our stors at Sheffield and Southampton have Trade departments to deal with the needs of our trade customers, making sure that millions of people can now have quality Towsure towing brackets fitted to their vehicles no matter where in the UK they live.

Towsure also operate three other companies, Oggie, our exclusive range of quality outdoor leisure products, Caddy, one of the worlds leading trailer companies and Shefflex, manufacturers of all Towsure Towing Brackets manufactured in Sheffield, the heart of the steel industry. It is through operation of these three companies that we can sell direct to the trade and public at such low prices.

From 1967 to this day Towsure has grown extensively, with this fully interactive shopping and news site and our stores in Southampton and Birmingham giving a total of 3 outdoor superstores across the UK, we are continuously looking to offer customers more.
