Breakaway Cables & Brackets

A legal requirement, a breakaway cable activates the caravan/trailer brake if uncoupled. Unbraked trailers use a secondary coupling to keep the trailer attached to the towcar in emergency.

The cable or secondary coupling is attached to a suitable mounting on the towbar - where none exists use breakaway cable bracket or pigtail.
