With a long and proud heritage, Claud Butler Bikes began with the keen cyclist Claud Butler's small bicycle shop in 1928, soon beginning to produce bicycle frames and pioneering development in the growing trade.  meanwhile, a long running cycle repair business that began during the 19th century  in a blacksmith's shop in Barton upon Humber; F Hopper & Co. was flourishing after similarly, a bicycle repair business became a manufacturer.  With rich histories, eventually these companies merged and the Claud Butler name was retained as the mark of quality.
