Coleman
The Coleman story began in Wichita, Kansas during 1900, when William Coffin Coleman, an entrepreneurial young salesman identified the potential of a lantern using petrol rather than the normal paraffin. Developing his own version of this into his own "Coleman Arc Lamp", the Coleman Lantern was born. The company later developed into the Coleman Lamp and Stove Company with the addition of the G.I.Pocket Stove, developed by the request of the U.S. Army during Word War II.
Today, the Coleman company continues the fine developmental traditions of its founder with all the products it produces - a range that has grown to encompass most camping requirements.
