2021 Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show to be Postponed

With the cancellation of the October 2020 Motorhome & Caravan Show at the NEC, exhibitors and visitors have been looking hopefully forward to the Camping, Caravanning & Motorhome Show 2012 at the same venue. The show traditionally kicks off the beginning of the new season and showcases latest releases and season previews in readiness for the camping and caravanning season to come.

Sadly it has been announced today that the 2021 show is to be postponed in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and Government guidelines and annoncements relating to gatherings and events. Whilst this is disappointing news after months of planning for the exhibition taking into account distancing and safety measures by the team at NCC Events, it has of course been taken with the safety of exhibitors and visitors in mind, and here at Towsure we fully support the decision whilst being extremely saddened that we won't get the opportunity to meet customers and visitors at this popular exhibition.

John Lally, CEO of show organisers NCC Events explains: “Whilst the trajectory of the COVID-19 virus is still very much unknown, it is clear that the restrictions - and their impact upon businesses - are likely to be in place for up to six months. We do not take this action lightly, but at this time, we feel
that it is the only sensible option to safeguard show partners, exhibitors and our visitors from the financial exposure of a late show cancellation."

The NCC team are naturally saddened that despite best efforts it hasn't been possible to manage hosting such an event whilst ensuring the safety of all present. John Lally passed this disappointment on in a press release today

“The team is extremely disappointed as they have done everything they can to prepare a COVID secure floor plan, ensuring that both exhibitors and visitors would have a safe environment. We want to thank all our partners, clubs, exhibitors, visitors and suppliers who have supported our endeavours to plan for this important industry show. We understand that this decision will be a disappointment to many people who, following the cancellation of the October show, have been eagerly awaiting our February 2021 event."

NCC Events are now focussing their efforts on planning for the following season's show in February 2022 and we're sure that they will be pulling out all the stops to make the next show one to really remember, as we all hope that we will by this time, return to enjoying both the exhibitions and touring with oour caravans and campervans.

The 2022 Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show will run from 22 – 27 February 2022 – be sure to put the dates in your diary.
John concludes: “In the meantime, NCC Events will be working very closely with the NEC, exhibitors, partners and industry experts to develop an enjoyable and productive event in keeping with the high standards they have come to expect from us, the show, its exhibitors and the NEC.”
